Vertical part of the escape route - Overview
This section establishes provisions for vertical escape routes down or up escape stairways toward a final exit, primarily addressing the number of escape stairs, their aggregate width, and their protection.
The provisions in paragraphs 2.61 to 2.76 relate to the vertical escape down or up escape stairways towards a final exit. They are mainly concerned with providing a sufficient number of escape stairs of adequate aggregate width and their protection.
