Access between multiple storey exits

Where a storey has more than one escape stairway, escape routes should be arranged so occupants do not have to pass through one stairway to reach another, though passing through a protected lobby is acceptable.

In any storey which has more than one escape stairway the escape routes should be arranged so that people do not have to pass through one stairway to reach another. However, it is acceptable to pass through the protected lobby of one stairway to reach another escape stairway.
