Automatic opening vents and smoke dampers
Automatic opening vents to smoke shafts must use smoke damper products tested and certified to BS EN 12101-8; smoke-rated fire doors are not acceptable substitutes.
Automatic opening vents to a smoke shaft should be a smoke damper product, tested and certified to BS EN 12101-8. Products tested as smoke rated fire doors are not acceptable replacements for smoke control dampers.
