Ceiling-mounted smoke alarm positioning
When mounted on a ceiling, the sensitive element of a smoke alarm must be positioned between 25 mm and 600 mm below the ceiling surface.
Where a smoke alarm is mounted on a ceiling, it should be located so that its sensitive element is not less than 25 mm or more than 600 mm below the ceiling.
