Basement storey escape provisions
Where a basement storey contains a habitable room without alternative escape routes, it should be served by a protected stairway extending to a final exit.
Where a basement storey contains a habitable room and does not have alternative escape routes it should be served by a protected stairway that extends to a final exit.
