Defined term: Travel distance
Travel distance is the actual distance a person must travel from any point in a floor area to the nearest storey exit, accounting for the layout of walls, partitions and fittings.
Travel distance – the actual distance to be travelled by a person from any point within the floor area to the nearest storey exit, having regard to the layout of walls, partitions and fittings.
