Stepped Foundation Elevation Requirements
Stepped foundations must have minimum overlap at level changes and restrictions on step height relative to foundation thickness.
foundations should unite at each change in level. minimum overlap L = twice height of step, or thickness of foundation, or 300 mm, whichever is greater. S should be not greater than T. see para 4E.3 (d) & (e)
