Diagram 4C.16 opening location requirements

The diagram details that major openings are restricted to one wall with aggregate width not exceeding 5.0 m and height not exceeding 2.1 m, no other openings within 2.0 m of a major opening wall, aggregate opening size elsewhere not exceeding 2.4 m², and minimum 390 mm distance from openings to corners unless a corner pier exists.

Notes: 1. Major openings should be restricted to one wall only. The aggregate width should be not greater than 5.0 m and their height should be not greater than 2.1 m. 2. There should be no other openings within 2.0 m of a wall containing a major opening. 3. The aggregate size of openings in a wall not containing a major opening should be not greater than 2.4 m² 4. Unless there is a corner pier the distance from a window or door opening to a corner should be not less than 390 mm.
