Use of Part 4C - Procedure for Stability Requirements
This section outlines the step-by-step procedure to follow when using Part 4C, which applies the stability requirements from paragraph 4B.1. The procedure involves checking conditions relating to the building and wall, then determining appropriate wall thickness.
When using this Part of the Section the stability requirements in paragraph 4B.1 applies and the following procedure should be followed – Consider all of the Conditions relating to the building, of which the wall forms part; Paragraphs 4C.4 to 4C.8. Are all of the Conditions complied with? Consider all of the Conditions relating to the wall; Paragraphs 4C.9 to 4C.30. Are all of the Conditions complied with? Wall thickness given in Paragraphs 4C.31 to 4C.38. If conditions are not complied with: Outside the scope of this Section of the Technical Booklet.
