Exceptions - wind turbines and bay windows
External walls designed using this Section may not be suitable for wind turbine support without specialist advice, and this Part does not apply to portions of external walls constructed as bays for or as gables over bay windows above ground floor cill level.
External walls sized using this Section are not necessarily suitable for the support of building mounted wind turbines. Specialist advice from a suitably qualified person must be obtained to confirm the suitability of any wall subjected to such loading. This Part does not apply to any portion of an external wall which is constructed as a bay for, or as a gable over, a bay window above ground floor cill level indicated as X in Diagram 4C.1.
