Examples of Significant Community Benefit
Acceptable community benefits may include affordable housing where local need is demonstrated or community facilities with wider support; the developer must demonstrate rationale and no significant loss to green infrastructure provision.
Examples of significant community benefit acceptable under the policy may include the provision of affordable housing where a demonstrable local need is identified or the development of a local facility which has the support of the wider community. In all such cases, the onus will be on the developer to demonstrate the rationale for the development and that it will not result in any significant loss to overall green infrastructure provision taking account of the current and future open space needs of the wider locality.
