Determination of timber member dimensions
Timber floor, ceiling, and roof member dimensions in houses may be determined using either TRADA Eurocode 5 span tables or the guidance in paragraphs 4B.2 to 4B.15.
The dimensions of a timber floor, ceiling or roof member may be determined by following either – (a) the guidance given in "Eurocode 5 span tables for solid timber members in floors, ceilings and roofs for dwellings" published by TRADA and available from Chiltern House, Stocking Lane, Hughenden Valley, High Wycombe, Bucks HP14 4ND; or (b) the guidance given in paragraphs 4B.2 to 4B.15.
