Presumption Against Loss of Open Space
There is a general presumption against loss of open space, though exceptional circumstances may permit development where other community benefits are demonstrated.
Whilst there is a general presumption against the loss of open space, it is acknowledged that exceptionally there may be circumstances where the development of an area of open space may be acceptable, taking account of other community benefits that new development may bring, including reinvestment in the remaining facilities or the provision of alternative facilities.
