Moisture and weather resistance performance requirement

Buildings must be constructed so that floors, walls and roofs protect occupants from harmful effects caused by moisture passage from the ground and weather.

It is the view of the Department that the requirements of regulation 28 will be met if the floors, walls and roofs are constructed to protect the building and secure the health and safety of persons in the building from harmful effects caused by the passage of moisture from the ground and the weather.
