Introduction to site preparation provisions
Site investigation must be carried out and findings used to determine necessary site preparation work. Vegetable matter and unsuitable materials must be removed from ground to be covered by the building.
The guidance in Section 2 is to ensure that the site is prepared and treated to prevent harmful effect on the building and on the health and safety of the occupants by requiring an appropriate site investigation to be carried out and the findings used to determine the extent of site preparation work needed. Vegetable matter and other unsuitable materials should be removed from the ground to be covered by the building.
