Coordination for offshore renewable energy onshore development
Terrestrial and marine planning authorities must work together on onshore development associated with offshore renewable energy, with careful consideration of location against relevant SPPS policies including Coastal Development.
Where there is necessary onshore development associated with offshore renewable energy proposals, it is important for both terrestrial and marine planning authorities to work together. Great care must be taken in locating such onshore development taking into account other relevant policy provisions of the SPPS, including the subject policy 'Coastal Development'.
