Solar Farm Development
Solar farms should be located in appropriate countryside locations with good screening and sensitive landscape integration. Large-scale rooftop solar proposals should receive favourable consideration where there are no unacceptable adverse impacts including glint and glare.
Planning authorities should facilitate suitable solar farms in appropriate countryside locations. Solar farms which are well planned and well screened can have an acceptable visual impact if located sensitively in the local landscape. In all locations, favourable consideration should be given to large scale rooftop solar energy proposals where there are no unacceptable adverse impacts, including glint and glare.
