Implementation - Weight Given to Natural Heritage in Planning
Councils must give appropriate weight to designated sites of international, national and local importance, protected species, priority habitats, and other biodiversity and geological interests in plan-making and decisions.
Appropriate weight must be given to designated sites of international, national and local importance; protected species; priority habitats and priority species; and to other biodiversity and geological interests within the wider environment.
