Housing Needs Assessment and Housing Market Analysis
Councils must use Housing Needs Assessment or Housing Market Analysis as evidence to inform the allocation of land through development plans, ensuring the right mix of housing tenures including open market housing, affordable housing, social housing, supported housing, and travellers' accommodation.
Housing Needs Assessment/Housing Market Analysis (HNA/HMA) – provides an evidence base that must be taken into consideration in the allocation, through the development plan, of land required to facilitate the right mix of housing tenures including open market and special housing needs such as affordable housing, social housing, supported housing and travellers
