Regional Strategic Objectives for Countryside Development
Policy objectives include managing growth to achieve sustainable patterns of development supporting vibrant rural communities, and conserving landscape and natural resources while protecting from excessive, inappropriate or obtrusive development and pollution.
The policy objectives for development in the countryside are to: manage growth to achieve appropriate and sustainable patterns of development which supports a vibrant rural community; conserve the landscape and natural resources of the rural area and to protect it from excessive, inappropriate or obtrusive development and from the actual or potential effects of pollution.
