Identification of unsuitable coastal areas for development
Local Development Plans should identify coastal areas where development should be restricted due to amenity value, landscape value, nature conservation interest, or historical or archaeological importance.
Some coastal areas may be unsuitable for development due to their amenity or landscape value, nature conservation interest or historical or archaeological importance. The LDP should identify areas where development should be restricted to take account of these interests of acknowledged importance.
