Coastal Protection and Climate Change Adaptation
Coastal areas must be protected from coastal squeeze and loss of distinctive habitats, and the landscape setting of features should be conserved to help adaptation to climate change.
The RDS recognises that coastal areas need to be protected from coastal squeeze, to safeguard against loss of distinctive habitats, and to help adaptation to climate change, and accordingly states the landscape setting of features should also be conserved.
