Supporting Government Strategies
Policy formulation considers related government strategies including 'Investing for Health', the 'Northern Ireland Biodiversity Strategy', and the 'UN Convention on the Rights of the Child', particularly regarding a child's right to play.
In formulating the policies contained in this Statement, consideration has been given to a number of other Government strategies. These include 'Investing for Health' published by the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety and the 'Northern Ireland Biodiversity Strategy'. Account has also been taken of the Government's commitment to the 'UN Convention on the Rights of the Child', in particular to those aspects that relate to a child's right to play.
