The Programme for Government 2002–2005 promotes sustainable living to ensure that our society and economy develop in ways that meet our current needs, while ensuring that future generations can also meet their needs. It encourages a healthier lifestyle for all, promotes the benefits of sport and recreation and supports measures to conserve biodiversity.
