Introduction and Definition of Open Space, Sport and Outdoor Recreation

Open space, sport and outdoor recreation provide cultural, social, economic and environmental benefits and contribute to physical and mental health. The Government considers everyone, particularly children, the elderly and those with disabilities, should have easy access to open space and opportunity to participate in sport and outdoor recreational pursuits.

They provide many cultural, social, economic and environmental benefits and contribute positively to physical and mental health and a better quality of life. The Government considers everyone, particularly children, the elderly and those with disabilities, should have easy access to open space and the opportunity to participate in sport and outdoor recreational pursuits.
