Affordable housing provision requirement
All housing proposals of 40 or more units must include affordable housing as part of the overall scheme to promote mixed tenure development and balanced communities.
Historically, difficulties have been experienced by social housing providers in securing the land necessary for affordable housing provision. To assist the delivery of affordable housing and promote mixed tenure development the Council will require all housing proposals of 40 or more units to provide affordable housing as part of the overall scheme.
