Historic Parks, Gardens and Demesnes Register
A register of parks, gardens and demesnes of special historic interest in Northern Ireland is being prepared and will be maintained by the Department's Environment and Heritage Service. Parks retaining only some elements of their original form will be identified in an appendix.
A register of parks, gardens and demesnes of special historic interest in Northern Ireland, based on a comprehensive inventory, is currently being prepared for publication during 1999 and will subsequently be updated as necessary by the Department's Environment and Heritage Service, to whom any enquiries about its compilation should be made. There are also a number of parks, gardens and demesnes which retain only some elements of their original form. These will be identified in an appendix to the proposed register.
