Access, Parking, and Transport Considerations
Access to sites, parking, servicing, and impacts on road networks will be assessed. Major developments may require Transport Assessments and Travel Plans, and must be accessible to walking, cycling, and public transport.
Access to a proposed site, parking and servicing arrangements and the overall impact of a development on the local road network will all be carefully considered by the Department in assessing economic development proposals. For major developments a Transport Assessment and a Travel Plan may be required. The Department will seek to ensure that the development proposed will not lead to increased congestion on the public road network and that the location chosen is also accessible to walking, cycling and public transport networks.
