RDS Economic Development Strategy
The RDS promotes balanced economic development across Northern Ireland, focusing on key metropolitan areas and transport corridors while supporting a strong, diversified rural economy.
In terms of economic development, the RDS, while seeking to promote the balanced spread of opportunities across Northern Ireland by focusing on the Belfast Metropolitan Area, Londonderry and Craigavon, and exploiting the economic potential of key transport corridors and regional gateways, also supports the development of a strong, diversified and competitive rural economy.
