Location and Design of Cycle Parking Areas

Cycle parking should be located closer to building entrances than car parking, well lit, and positioned to allow informal surveillance by staff or public. Staff parking is best provided within buildings.

Security is a major consideration in determining the location of cycle parking areas which should be provided closer to a building's entrance than car-parking.
