Parking reduction negotiation and criteria
Where parking reduction is acceptable, the Department will negotiate the precise level with developers, considering site-specific characteristics, location, and accessibility to alternative transport modes.
Where parking reduction is considered acceptable in principle the Department will negotiate the precise level of reduction with developers. Account will be taken of the specific characteristics of the development, its location and its accessibility to means of travel other than the private car, including any measures proposed to promote alternative transport modes.
