Level approach from site boundary to building entrance
New buildings should seek to provide a level approach from the site boundary to the building entrance, with detailed design features for access such as level thresholds to be addressed under Building Regulations.
The designer of a new building should seek as far as possible to meet the Department's presumption of providing a level approach from site boundary to the building entrance. The detailed design features for access into the building, such as a level threshold, remains a matter for consideration under the Building Regulations.
