Development Plans and Transport Integration
Development plans should facilitate integration of transportation and land use planning, providing opportunity to assess transport needs and ensure appropriate consideration of transportation matters in land allocation for future development.
Development plans have a key role to play in facilitating the integration of transportation and land use planning. Their preparation provides the opportunity to assess the transport needs and problems within the plan area and to ensure that appropriate consideration is given to transportation matters in the allocation of land for future development. Further information on the integration of transportation and land use planning is provided in PPS 13.
