Purpose and Scope of PPS 23
PPS 23 formalizes policy allowing planning decisions to set aside established policy to secure the long-term future of significant places, which includes historic environment assets with heritage value.
This Planning Policy Statement, PPS23 formalises policy established in case law where established planning policy may be set aside for a proposal to secure the long-term future of a significant place.
