Policy CTY 15 – The Setting of Settlements
Planning permission will be refused for development that mars the distinction between a settlement and the surrounding countryside or results in urban sprawl. The setting of settlements within their surrounding countryside is important for maintaining town-country distinction and preventing coalescence between built-up areas.
