Design - Concept Statement and Renewable Energy

Applicants are encouraged to submit a design concept statement detailing site selection and analysis, building design, and consideration of renewable energy and drainage technologies, in accordance with published guidance.

Applicants are encouraged to submit a design concept statement setting out the processes involved in site selection and analysis, building design, and should consider the use of renewable energy and drainage technologies as part of their planning application. This should be undertaken in accordance with extant published guidance. Specific guidance for the design of buildings in a number of Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty is contained in the relevant design guide.
