Airport Safeguarding
The Council will consult with airport operators on wind and solar energy proposals and tall structures within designated Airport Safeguarding Zones for both Belfast International Airport and Belfast City Airport to prevent adverse impacts on airport operations.
The Council will consult with the airport operator in relation to all wind and solar energy proposals in the Borough as well as proposals for tall structures within the Airport Safeguarding Zone. Such consultation will be undertaken for the Airport Safeguarding Zones identified for both BIA and Belfast City Airport to ensure there is no adverse impact upon the operation of either airport.
