Rural Needs Assessment (RNA)
A Rural Needs Assessment is undertaken at each key stage of the LDP to ensure that the social and economic needs of people in rural areas are considered and any differential impacts identified.
Rural Needs Assessment (RNA) – In accordance with the Rural Needs Act (NI) 2016 and in line with Council policy, an RNA is being undertaken at each key stage of the LDP to ensure that the social and economic needs of people in rural areas are taken into account when preparing the LDP. The assessment seeks to identify how the policy will impact on people in rural areas and to gain an understanding of any differential impacts arising.
