Local Countryside Policies from Assessment Outcomes

Local policies may be developed to complement regional policies on matters specific to local countryside circumstances, such as Areas of High Scenic Value, following Countryside Assessment and consultation.

Arising from the process of Countryside Assessment local policies may be brought forward in the development plan to complement or amplify regional policies on matters specific to the local circumstances of particular countryside areas e.g. Areas of High Scenic Value. This will involve consultation with District Councils, local communities and the public.
