Active Travel Design Features and Early Consideration
Developers should incorporate design features and facilities early in the design process to encourage walking and cycling for daily journeys instead of car travel.
This policy encourages developers to consider and incorporate design features and facilities early on in the design process that make it easier for people to walk and cycle for every day journeys instead of travelling by car (see also Policy DM 25).
