Sustainable Reuse of Disused Railway Lines
The Local Policies Plan will identify opportunities for sustainable reuse of disused railway lines to prevent their prejudicial loss to alternative development, including consideration of greenway connections such as between Larne and Doagh.
Opportunities exist for the sustainable reuse of some of our disused railway lines and the Local Policies Plan will identify any such routes to ensure these are not prejudiced by alternative development proposals. Consideration is currently being given to a greenway linking Larne with Doagh and with a possible onwards connection to Antrim.
