Tourism benefit statement for regionally significant or large-scale proposals

Large-scale or regionally significant tourism proposals must include a tourism benefit statement demonstrating revenue and employment value and alignment with the Tourism Priorities for Action Plan, and the planning authority will refer these to the Northern Ireland Tourist Board.

In order to facilitate assessment of regionally significant or large scale proposals, applications must be accompanied by a tourism benefit statement to demonstrate the value of the proposal in terms of tourism revenue and employment opportunity and also how it will further the aims of the Tourism 'Priorities for Action' Plan. The planning authority will refer such proposals to the Northern Ireland Tourist Board for comment in regard to tourism benefit.
