Reservoir Bill for Northern Ireland
A Reservoirs Bill is anticipated to be enacted in 2014/15, introducing a risk-based approach to flood risk management from controlled reservoirs with capacity greater than 10,000 cubic metres, with implications for the planning process.
It is anticipated that a Reservoirs Bill, will be enacted in 2014/15. The legislation will introduce a risk based approach to the management of the potential flood risk from controlled reservoirs and will have implications for the planning process. The legislation will apply to all reservoirs with a capacity greater than 10 000 cubic metres above the natural level of any part of the surrounding land.
