Accessibility for People with Disabilities in Public Transport

Regulations ensure people with disabilities can access public transport vehicles safely and comfortably, and public transport providers must address physical barriers at bus and railway stations.

The regulations help to ensure that people with disabilities are able to gain access to public transport vehicles and travel in safety and reasonable comfort. In addition, public transport providers will have to consider their policies, practices and procedures and take action to overcome physical barriers that prevent people with disabilities from gaining access to bus and railway stations.
