Traffic management measures including pedestrianisation, pedestrian priority schemes, and public transport prioritisation can benefit congested town centres and residential areas with significant traffic.
Traffic management can have particular benefits in congested town centres and in residential areas with significant traffic. Measures to promote the prioritisation of public transport as well as safer walking and cycling include well-designed pedestrianisation and pedestrian priority schemes.
