Land Allocation for Port and Public Transport Expansion

DOE Planning Service, following consultation with DRD Ports and Public Transport Division, should where necessary allocate land in the development plan for future operational expansion or to accommodate associated development, together with key site requirements. Measures for improved accessibility, with an emphasis on public transport access and the possible provision of rail based freight facilities at some locations should be included. The transport plan/study will inform the development plan in these processes.
