Park and ride/share site location requirements
Park and ride and park and share sites should generally be located at key junctions on the Regional Strategic Transport Network to allow easy access to main transport routes, with opportunity sites available at existing public transport interchanges such as bus or rail stations.
Park and share sites can also serve to alleviate urban congestion by facilitating car sharing by commuters. Such sites should generally be located at key junctions on the Regional Strategic Transport Network, to allow easy access to main transport routes. In some areas there may be cases where park and ride and park and share schemes may be part of the same scheme.
