Tourism facilities access by sustainable transport
Tourism facilities and tourist nodes linked to specific physical, cultural or historic sites should provide access by public transport, walking and cycling wherever feasible, and may require off-site park and ride facilities at environmentally sensitive destinations.
The development of tourism facilities and tourist nodes linked to a specifi c physical, cultural or historic site should provide for access by public transport, walking and cycling wherever feasible. This will assist in the promotion of more sustainable travel patterns and a more sustainable tourism product. At environmentally sensitive tourist destinations, the provision of off site park and ride facilities may be required.
