Transport Study Process and Liaison
Transport studies should be prepared in liaison between land use planners, transport planners and public transport providers, providing details of transport issues, problems, opportunities, and car parking analysis to inform development plan policies.
In practice, this process will require close liaison between land use planners, transport planners and public transport providers. A key stage in the process should be the preparation of a transport study. This will provide details of the transport issues, problems and opportunities across a plan area. It will also include an analysis of car parking and can assess the need for appropriate local policies or proposals in the development plan/transport plan.
