Students - Housing Market Impact Information
Planning authorities require qualitative information about student numbers, their geographic distribution, and factors affecting student housing demand to understand impacts on the housing market.
DOE Planning Service requires qualitative information in relation to the impact students will have on the housing market and any potential landuse requirements.
In particular, the following information will be highlighted:
• the numbers of students residing in the area, including any available trend analysis;
• geographic hot spots of student concentrations; and
• identification of issues/future proposals that will impact on student numbers.
